Our Story
Edge by the Sea is an independent coffee shop and takeaway on Littlehampton seafront.
Our mission is simple; to provide the highest quality coffee using the finest, ethically sourced coffee beans available.
With nearly 40 years in the trade, we have a strong network of respected coffee growers from all over the world and work closely with our farmers to ensure maximum
freshness and quality in every cup of Edgcumbes coffee and tea.
Edge by the Sea is the brainchild of Charlie Edgcumbe - Rendle who comes from a family steeped in coffee and tea expertise....
What do we do?
Edge by the Sea is open all year round (currently from 10am to 3pm EVERYDAY) – serving speciality coffees and loose leaf teas, crafted by expert baristas, and complemented by a range of handmade cakes, pastries and snacks for takeaway or to enjoy in the open air surroundings, as well as in the spacious and airy café area, overlooking the sea.
We are fortunate to have a wide range of open-air amusements to enjoy, literally on our doorstep! Tennis courts, pitch and putt golf, 3 par golf course and even an historic miniature steam railway which stops right outside our café doors!
Ice cream is naturally always available and other tasty daily specials will be on offer throughout the year.
